Irmgard Margit Stepp, 85 of Hudson, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville. She was born on the East side of Berlin, Germany, met and married her soldier husband, Charles F. Stepp and moved to America. She didn't speak English when she moved to America. She and her husband, owned and operated Derby Steel Guitars and traveled to Nashville to sell them where they met and sold guitars to many country music stars along the way. She loved her cat, sitting outside watching hummingbirds and spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Stepp and her parents, Albert and Elsbeth Graf. Survivors include three children, Jaynette (Gary) Mondie of Hudson, Charles A. (Christy) Stepp of Shepherdsville and Sue Parker of Fort Wayne, IN; 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brookland Cemetery in Bullitt County. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
