William L. "Bill" Brown, 81 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at his home. He was a native of Painesville, OH, served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam where he received a Bronze Star and was a retired electrician with Ameron Corp. He traveled the world in the military and civilian life. He knew of his faults, but strived to make himself better and always had a joke to tell. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Alvin and Josephine Brown and his siblings, Timothy Brown, Robert Brown and Dotty Brown. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marie Barty McDermitt Brown; four children, Joseph (Tricia) Brown of Hampton, VA, Jackie McDonald of Bullhead City, AZ, Susan (Raymond) D'Amico of Elizabethtown and Will (Amanda) Ravenstein of Junction City, KS; one brother, Jim (Barbara) Brown of Chardon, OH; two sisters, Judith (Robert) Howard of Eaton, OH and Sharon (Don) Barfield of Painesville, OH; 15 grandchildren, Taylor Brown, Riley Brown, Kolbie (Rich) Zuniga, Kaycie (Palmer) Christensen, Kasidy (Brittnee) Barrett, Joey (Jordan) D'Amico, Ben (Lindsay) D'Amico, Finn D'Amico, Justin D'Amico, Michael D'Amico, Savanna (Dylan) Spurrell, Angelica, Jordan, Christopher and Savannah Ravenstein; several great grandchildren and special friends, Timmy Barzee, Joe and Jennie Jones, Linda Smith and Marla Greene. The funeral will be Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Schexneider officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024 and continue after 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Wounded Warriors.
