Joanne Marie Shinkman, 80, of Radcliff, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of Florida and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. She was known throughout the community for her kindness to others, and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Joanne was a magnificent cook, volunteered with Clarity Solutions, and was an interior decorator. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Marie Madill Lancaster and a brother, Gary Lancaster. Survivors include her husband of 5 years, David I. Shinkman; two children, Bill Perks (Lori) of Radcliff and Stephanie Colodney of Boynton Beach, FL; a step-daughter, Amy Furr (Russell) of Moss Beach, CA, and six grandchildren: Scott (Hannah), Cass, Grant, Andrew, Adam, and Jakob. The funeral will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Severns Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Emory Riley officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Severns Valley Baptist Church. Burial will be private at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Clarity Solutions or Feeding America.
