Arthur Thomas "Tom" Blair

Arthur Thomas "Tom" Blair, 67, passed away in April 2024. Born in Elizabethtown, KY, on April 30, 1956, to William Howard Blair Sr. and Arlene Cecilia (Gravel) Blair, he was a proud 1974 graduate of Elizabethtown High School, where he excelled in math and loved playing football. Tom will be remembered most for his humor and inquisitive mind. He loved tinkering with puzzles and taking things apart just to see how they worked. These passions contributed to his long and fulfilling career at Steris, where he retired in 2020. Tom found his greatest joy surrounded by his siblings at Mammoth Cave National Park and the Blair Fish Camp during their annual Blair Fishing Week. A true Kentuckian at heart, he was always ready to cheer on the University of Kentucky. Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lynn (Boice) Blair, in 2017; his father, William Blair Sr., in 1989; his beloved mother, Arlene Blair, in 2002; his brothers, Carl Blair in 2000, and Dennis and Daniel Blair in 1948; and his sister-in-law, Patsy Blair, in 2009. He is survived by his children, Jeremy & Andrea Blair, Kyle & Kyla Blair, and Alyssa Blair & Derek McElroy; his grandchildren, Bethany, Alexis, Zander Wagner, and Luna Blair; and his siblings, Dorothy "Dot" & Robert Tibbets, James "Jim" Blair, Robert "Bob" Blair, and William "Will" Blair Jr. His memory will also be cherished by a wide circle of extended family.
