Roy Logan Meals

Roy Logan Meals, age 75, of Rineyville passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at his residence surrounded by loved ones. A native of Hardin County, he was active in the Bowling Green-Warren County Jaycees where he served as Senator, was a Kentucky Colonel, and served on the Board of Directors for the March of Dimes. He also served as chairman of the Southern Kentucky Fair. A retired banker, he was a die-hard UK fan, but among his many roles and titles, he was most proud of being a grandpa. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn Bewley Meals, and his parents, Clarence Wade and Violet Mae Schroader Meals; one sister, Ruby Dennis; and a grandson, Will Yates. Survivors include his two daughters, Rebecca Yates of Bardstown and Joanna (Chris) Shelton of Hodgenville; son, Tim "T.J." (Danielle) of Elizabethtown; two brothers, James C. (Nina) Meals of St. Louis, MO, and C.W. "Bud" Meals of Charlestown, IN; seven grandchildren, Taylor (Chelsea) Meals, Katie Beth Meals, Jake, Morgan, and Cal Yates, and Blake and Emma Shelton; great grandchildren, Mia and Brady Meals; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. The funeral service will be on Saturday, April 6, at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy House officiating. Burial will follow at Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and continue after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus.
