Marc Alan Hardy, age 59, of Upton, passed away on Saturday, March 30, at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital. A native of Athens, Texas, he retired from Masterson's Electric as an electrician after having served six years in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He was a loving husband and father who liked to travel, loved to cook, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Gale Williams Hardy; two daughters, Kirsten Seaver of Elizabethtown and Jessica Claire Hardy of Upton; one son, Nathan Alan Hardy of Louisville; father and step-mother, Don & Helen Hardy of Georgetown, TX; mother and step-father, Marlene and Jeff Mattison of Eureka, CA; four sisters, Jill Torres (Yani) of Paris, France, Kim Hardy of Georgetown, TX, Krista Spoo of Renter, SD, and Jenny Hardy of Georgetown, TX; one brother, Collin Mattison (Bree) of San Diego, CA; and a sister-in-law, Allison Williams. The funeral is at noon on Thursday, April 4, at Brown Funeral Home, with Rev. Lewis Priddy officiating. Burial will follow at Upton Cemetery. Visitation is from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home and continues at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Condolences may be expressed online at brownfuneral.com.
