Henry Dailey III, 79 of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin. He was a native of Stanford, KY and was a member of Elizabethtown Baptist Church. He retired from Sysco after several years and enjoyed golfing and working in his yard. He loved doing anything with his grandkids and University of Kentucky basketball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Dailey, Jr. and Dorothy Lee Lawson. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Carol Cox Dailey; two daughters, Janelle (Ed) Poppe and Becky (Rusty) Gardner, all of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Abbe (Beau) Kerckhove, Kevin (Brittney) Poppe, Sean (Lauren) Poppe, Zachary Gardner, and Chad Gardner; three great-grandchildren, Elliott, Rosie, and Emmy; three sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral is Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Elizabethtown Baptist Church with Glenn Chasteen officiating. Burial follows in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford, Ky. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
