Maria Cosme Melgar, 92 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at her home. She was born in El Salvador and left her country to bring her children to America to have a better life. She raised five sons on her own and was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Perez and her parents, Emilio Flores and Estanislada Melgar. Survivors include her five sons, Luis Figueroa, Freddy Melgar, Danilo Figueroa, Fidel Melgar and Carlos Melgar; her brothers, Jose Maria Melgar, Lupe Melgar, Tomas Melgar, Marcos Melgar and Milo Flores and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
