Dorothy Mae Conder, 86 of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of Hardin County and was a seamstress at Etown Sportswear for many years. Dorothy was a member of Rough Creek Baptist Church. She loved sewing. Dorothy was a member of Red Hat Society and Homemakers Club. She loved her chickens and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wes and Gracie Daugherty; and two sisters, Gladys and Daisy Clark. Survivors include her husband, Alan Conder of Eastview; two sons, Donald (Sue) Preston of Elizabethtown and Harold (Marcia) Preston of Eastview; two daughters, Jo Anna (Darrell) Butler and Theresa Preston, both of Cecilia; two brothers, John (Janie) Daugherty and Ronnie (Michael) Brown; 9 grandkids, 18 great-grandkids, 4 great-great-grandkids, and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral is Tuesday at 12 p.m. Noon at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Kasper Underwood officiating. Burial follows in Pole Bridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and continues after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at brownfuneral.com.
