Myrtle Lou Baber

Myrtle Lou Baber, 85 of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at her home. She was born in Scott County, Virginia to David and Loula Osborne. She moved to Culpeper, VA where she resided until 2006 when she and her husband moved to Elizabethtown. Myrtle was a life member of VFW, American Legion, Culpeper Moose Lodge, and VVA- Vietnam Veterans Association. She attended Trinity Independent Baptist Church and was a part of their Revolution Ministries. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Marshall W. Baber; her parents; one son, Jerry Alfred Jenkins; and a brother, Robert Hall. Survivors include one son, Roger (Patty) Jenkins of Locust Grove, VA; one daughter, Kimberley (Paul) Goncher of Elizabethtown; siblings, Thomas (Ruth) Osborne, Charles (Sandy) Osborne, Thelma Powell, and Victoria Mitchell; fourteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The funeral is Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in with Pastor Josh Miller officiating. Burial follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continues after 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed on line at brownfuneral.com.
