Martha Nadine Fulkerson, 91 of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of Hardin County and was a member of Elizabethtown Church of Christ where she volunteered at the clothing center. She was a faithful Military wife for 20 years. She formally worked at JJ Newberry's Store, was a secretary at Ft. Knox, babysat, and sold Avon. Martha really enjoyed working crossword puzzles and writing poems. She even had one published. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie James Fulkerson; her parents, Roy and Anna Taylor; one daughter, Joyce Ann Fulkerson; one brother, Larry Taylor; and one sister, Geraldine Rae Rodgers. Survivors include one son, James Albert (Wendy) Fulkerson of Oakley, CA; one daughter, Barbara Sue (Bobby) Hornback of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, Dylan Fulkerson, Taylor Fulkerson, Taryn Schaeder, Bobby Joe Hornback, Jr., Carisa Pointer, and Jennifer Patton; eight great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. The funeral is Sunday at 2 p.m. at Elizabethtown Church of Christ with Bro. Vince Daugherty officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
