Randy Gent, 66 of Cecilia, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin with his family by his side. He was born in Pikeville and lived most of his life in Hardin County. Randy retired from Trinity Industries after 27 years. He was a loving father and grandfather, had a musical talent and was a Dale Earnhardt and Nascar fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Giles and Zella Gent; a brother, Gary Dutch Gent and brother-in-law, Jasper Pearl. Survivors include his children, Brandi (Landon) Kirtley of Hodgenville, Beth (Shawn) Downing of Evansville, IN and Phillip (Shanoa Robinson) Gent of Elizabethtown; four brothers, Dallas (Tammy) Gent, Giles (Rebecca) Gent and David Gent all of Radcliff and Mike Gent of Bowling Green; three sisters, Sandy (Bruce) Walby of Spearfish, SD, Sharon (Jerry) Stinnett of Leitchfield and Linda Pearl of Elizabethtown and six grandchildren, Damon Downing, Dylan Downing, Asher Tabb, Camden Kirtley, Lynnen Kirtley and Alyssa Gent. A Memorial service will be Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at www.brownfuneral.com.
