Mary Ella Pierce Tabb

Mary Ella Pierce Tabb, 100, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024, at Tender Touch Assisted Living. She was a native of Hardin County, homemaker, and at her death, she was the oldest living member of Valley Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Tabb; her parents, Coy Pierce Sr. and Julia Sharp Pierce; a grandson, Bradley Jay Fulkerson; a great-great-grandson, Waylon Lucas; and four siblings, Truman, Virgil and J. T. Pierce and Letha Williams. Survivors include a son, Cordell (Vonda) Tabb; three daughters, Linda (Danny) Jayne, Brenda Tabb Reynolds and Peggy (Keith) Thompson, all of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren, Wynna Tabb, Lisa (Kevin) Shea, Philip (Christine) Tabb, Lynann (Johnny) Armstrong, Rachelle Grey, Jason Fulkerson, Bret (April) Thompson and Julianne (Jason) Hart; 19 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; two siblings, Coy Pierce Jr. of Elizabethtown and Nancy Ennis of Charlestown, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. Her soul, her spirit that lives with her, has gone to live forever in the presence of Almighty God in heaven. Even now, our mother is enjoying not only fellowship with the Lord, but with other members of her family who have gone on before. The funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Pastor Scott Kerr officiating. Burial follows in Valley Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
