Dewey Marsee, 91 of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on December 13, 2023. He was born in Norton, VA and grew up in Elizabethtown. He served in the Army from 1952 to 1954. Graduated from Speed Scientific School of Engineering, University of Louisville in 1961. He worked for Olin Chemical Corporation for 28 years and traveled the world as a Chemical Engineer. Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, William Robert Bob and Retha Jane Marsee and a brother, William Bill C. Marsee. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Jean Donnelly Marsee; one son, Dale (Debra) Marsee of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Sharon Marsee of Lexington, KY and Brenda (Robert) Lambert of Carmel, IN; four grandchildren, Andrew (Ana) Marsee, Angie (Mark) Pflieger, Rachael Lambert and Nicholas Lambert and one great-grandchild, Romeo Marsee. A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Beasley officiating. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
