Ronald Leon Brown, 73 of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Kensington Manor. He was born in Howevalley to Lawrence and Irene Yates Brown. Ronald formerly worked for Brown's Ice Cream, Sherwin Williams, Guy Williams and retired from Badgett Construction Company. After retirement, he sold hunting supplies and made his weekly trips to the flea market where he sold everything from dogs to chickens. He loved to coon hunt and had many hunting buddies. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Marlena; two daughters, Elisha (Mike) Brown and Angela (Andy) McGirk; a step-daughter, Lori (Greg) Howlett; a sister, Charlotte (Jimmy) Howard; a brother, Dennis (Brenda) Brown; five grandchildren, Zachary, Abigayle, Kolten, Dakota and Weston; a step grandson, Logan; a great-grandchild, Easten; a special cousin, Buddy Brown and a special nephew, Don Howard. The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
