JoRena Strickland House

JoRena (Jo) Strickland House, 75 of Elizabethtown, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of DeQueen, Arkansas, but spent most of her adult life in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Jo was a special woman who touched the lives of so many through her love, friendship, and mentoring. She will forever be remembered for her infectious smile, kind heart, motherly attitude, unwavering love for her family, and her spicy side. Her hospitality was unmatched, and she welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. Jo was a pillar of strength for our family and was always there to offer a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. She lived a full and meaningful life traveling the world, line dancing, and playing bingo. Her legacy will live on through the memories we all share of her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Lillian Strickland; and one brother, Gary Strickland. Survivors include one brother, Randy Strickland (Renee); five nieces and nephews, Mike (Karen) Strickland, Ryan Strickland, Nick (Missy) Strickland, Inge Strickland, and Amanda (Mike) Norton; six great- nieces and nephews, Jeffrey (Teresa) Strickland, Amber Strickland, Benjamin, Christian, Mary, and Annabelle; and four great-great nieces and nephews, Mikey, Jordanne, Wyatt, and Bella. The funeral is Thursday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Ernie Bagley officiating. Burial follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff. Visitation will be Thursday at 1 p.m. and continue until the time of the service. Condolences may be expressed online at brownfuneral.com.
