Mary Alice Bush, 89 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of Wilson, KS and a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church, where she was in the Ladies Group, a Eucharistic minister for shut ins, a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Forever Young Club. She was a military wife and mother, brownie leader and childcare provider. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Louis Bush; a son, William Bush; her parents, William and Mary Alice Foran; two brothers, Tom and Kevin Foran, a sister, Carolyn Galliart and a grandchild, Taylor Sydnor. Survivors include four sons, Joseph Bush of Cecilia; Karl (Debbie) Bush of Hanahan, SC, James Michael (Robin) Bush of Flippin, AR and Ken (Kim) Bush of Elizabethtown; three daughter, Roxanne (David) Miles of Brandenburg, Kathleen (Eddie) Daugherty of Frankfort and Carolyn (Mike) Martin of Elizabethtown; one brother, Michael Foran of Wichita, KA; 15 grandchildren, Michelle Barrett, Jason Blosser, Scarlett Bush, Jasmine Bush, Megan Bush, Cody Bush, Jennifer Miles, Greg Miles, Avery Sydnor, Ashley Guess, Mallory Miles, Cameron Sydnor, Elissabeth Daugherty, Emmaliah Daugherty and Molly and 11 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 9 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home.
