Katie Lou Cobb, 87 of Dallas, GA, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023. She was a native of Wayne County, TN and an avid U of L basketball fan. She loved needle point, quilting and crocheting, and in her younger years, was a great cake decorator and loved to play bunco. Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Bradley Cobb; her parents, James Milo and Fannie Louise Ellis and three sisters, Margaret Gayle Quillen, Betty Sue Barkley and Jean Lurrene Carpenter. Survivors include two sons, Scott (Teresa) Cobb and Michael Cobb all of Dallas, GA; one sister, Mary Jane Lackey of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Christopher Cobb of New Orleans and Kaitlyn (Josh) Jones of Dallas, GA and one great-grandchild, Emery Jones. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Westerfield officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
