Leonard Paul Hart, 73 of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin. He was a native of Staten Island, NY, and a proud member of the United States Army where he retired from after 23 years of dedicated service. He volunteered with COTA, the Children's Organ Transplant Association, to raise money, and helped children receive organ donations He was a volunteer Fireman and an avid member of the American Legion. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Hart; two brothers, Joseph and John Hart; and his parents, Leonard and Mary Valenti Hart. He is survived by two daughters, Maryanna (Leonard) Spiers and Rosemarie "Rosie" (Josh) Crabb; three brothers, Tommy Hart, Gerald Hart and Jimmy Hart; three sisters, Katherine Hart, Marianna Ciardiello and Nora Merlino; and six grandchildren, Logan, Molly, Samantha and Andrew Spiers and Eli and Lucas Crabb. Visitation will be Friday, November 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023.
