Michael Aloysius King, 69 of Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church where he also served as the Athletic Director several years ago. Mike was an avid UK fan, where he received his Master's degree at University of Kentucky in Ag Economics and was a former president of the Ag Alumni. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus member, worked at Jacobi Sales for 40 years and was a youth baseball coach for many years. His grandchildren will always remember him as "Popskadoozie" and "Grandy." Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Aloysius and Linda King and his sister, Susan King. He is survived by one son, Daniel Aloysius (Caitlin) King of Lexington; two daughters, Laura (Teague) Ridge of Louisville and Sarah King of Elizabethtown; one brother, David King of Brandenburg; one sister, Mary Annette King of Brandenburg; and four grandchildren, Talin Michael Ridge, Nanette Marie Ridge, William Aloysius King, and Isabel Rose King. A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, November 17, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Visitation will start at 12 and continue until the time of service.
