Krystal Renee Johnson, 26 of Rineyville, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023. She was born in Pikeville, Kentucky and was a retired military police officer in the U.S. Army. Krystal graduated from Herrington High School, where she played softball and lettered in track. She was the life of the party. She enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and plumbing, which was what she always wanted to be growing up. She was preceded in death by her Aunt Becky, who loved her more than she loved herself; and her papaw, Roy Flinchem, who thought Krystal walked on water. Survivors include her parents, Billie Jean Johnson (Phillip Via) and Jeff Johnson (Brianne Oliver-Barnard); one sister, Addysin Johnson; five step-siblings, Kyle, Brandon, Kayla, Steven, and Lilliana; an uncle, Jeff Meadows (Sheremy); and one cousin, Olivia Meadows.
