Gary W. Polk, 64 of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at his home. He was a native of Hardin County and formerly worked for River Metals and Polk's Construction. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Mose B. Polk; a brother, Troy Bishop; and his grandparents, Alice and Mose Polk and Richard and Laura Thomas.. Survivors include his mother, Ella Grace Thomas Polk of Elizabethtown; four brothers, Timothy Polk, Steve Polk and Clyde (Rita) Polk all of Elizabethtown and Greg (Pamela) Polk of Louisville; a sister, Sheila Allen of Bardstown; his special nieces/daughters, Carmon and Candi; his special friend, Tammy Daniels of Elizabethtown and a host of nieces and nephews.. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
