Allen L. Edwards, 79 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin. Allen, known for his remarkable grit, exemplified hard work and determination throughout his life. He had an entrepreneurial spirit, owning several businesses during his life time, most known for Edwards Construction and Edwards Recycling. His hobbies included fishing, tinkering in his machine shop and raising horses and livestock. He had a generous heart, helping both loved ones and strangers alike. Allen's charm and magnetism were evident to all who crossed his path. His legacy will live on through those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his son, Kerry Edwards; his parents, Donald Paul and Mildred Clark Edwards and brothers, Ralph Edwards, Oliver Edwards, Paul Edwards, Raymond Edwards, Anthony Edwards, and Donald Edwards Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Donna Peters Edwards; two daughters, Alana (John) Meadors and Jill (James) McIntyre; daughter-in-law, Deedie Edwards; two brothers, Darrell Edwards and Gary Edwards and his grandchildren, Logan (Kam) Bagley, Landon Bagley, Ciara Bagley, Ashleigh (Casey) Carraro, Kody Edwards and Noah (Julia) McIntyre; great-grandchildren, Caymen Carraro, Liam Bagley and Brooks Bagley and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Jerome Frandle and Bro. Randy Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Crossroads Cemetery.
