Dr. Ruth Elizabeth Falk Redel, 86, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of South Bend, IN and a member of Grace Heartland Church. She retired in 1999, after 19 years as an English professor at Elizabethtown Community College and had been a convener since 1981 of the Readers Room for Writers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kasper K. and Astrid Mitsem Falk and a brother, Eric Falk. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Sue Falk; a niece, Dr. Jennifer Falk; a nephew, Christopher Falk; a great nephew, Jacob Conroy-Falk and many other relatives and friends in Norway and Sweden. A gathering of saints will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the mission of your choice or to the Building Fund at Grace Heartland Church.
