Betty Jo Richardson, 95, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at Helmwood Healthcare. She retired from Etown Sportswear after 20 years. She was the oldest member of Howevalley Methodist Church and loved everyone. She was a wonderful mother who loved cooking, making her amazing candy and carrot cake. She loved sharing her goodies with everyone. Betty loved to do crafts, sewing and applique quilting. She showed great love for her children, Michael Richardson and Diana Johnson; her four grandkids, Jason (Wendy) Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Mike (Heather) Richardson and Glenn Richardson and four great-grandchildren, Chase and Tyler Johnson and Chloe and Riley Richardson. She was blessed with a lot of friends in her lifetime. Betty Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Richardson; her son=in-law, Junie Johnson, whom she loved so much; a grandchild, Laura Leigh Richardson and her parents, brothers and sisters. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. John Meadors officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
