Junko Cosby

Junko Cosby, 74 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 in Houston, TX. She was a native of Okinawa, Japan and a longtime member of Tunnel Hill Baptist Church. She loved to crochet and spend time outside working in her yard and garden. Junko loved to cook and was widely known for her legendary fried rice and egg rolls. She loved traveling and going to try fun new restaurants. Junko enjoyed playing games with friends and family and always walked her own path with quiet resolve. Junko could be found observing her loved-ones having fun from the sidelines with a sense of adoration and joy. She was kind-hearted, loving, humble, and always offered to help those in need. She is and will always be deeply loved and remembered. Junko was preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. Cosby, Jr.. Survivors include two daughters, MiLea Cosby and Terri Brooks; three grandchildren, Khaley Anna, Nami Rei and Addelyn Sky; one great-grandchild, Roxanne Lyn and two brothers, two sisters and other family in Okinawa, Japan. The funeral will be Monday at 12 noon at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Looten officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
