Eunice Dale French, 79 of Auburn, formerly of Elizabethtown, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023. She was a native of Hardin County and enjoyed the flea market and writing letters to friends. Eunice was a good wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very giving person. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shelby and Minnie Gray Meredith. Survivors include her husband, Harry Gene French; four children, Chuck (Connie) French, Dwight (Kathy) French, Cris French and April (Ed Bay) Taylor; a brother, Randall Meredith; eight grandchildren, Jason (Kim) French, Jesse (Meagan) Preston, Mindy Tucker, Sandy Spurling, Heather French, Meredith (Chris) McMillen, LeAnne French and Wendy Underwood and great grandchildren, Sommer Tucker, Reagan Jones, Haley Cox, Dustin Smothers, Dalton Smothers, Destiny Skaggs, Alley Finchum, Austin, Lorelei and Page Coleman, Wesley and Henry Preston and Aiden and Audrey Jo French. The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in Hardin Memorial Park.
