Diane Jean Gleitz, 64, of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at UofL Hospital. She was a member of Holy Trinity and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and was a former teacher for St. John's Lutheran School. Diane was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a devout child of God and a passionate teacher. She was an avid reader, enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Irene Dombroski. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Rev. Monty Gleitz of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Danielle (Josh) Howlett and Kristin Gleitz, both of Elizabethtown; two sons, Phillip Gleitz of Elizabethtown and Matthew Gleitz of Louisville; one brother, Tom Dombroski of MI; and four grandchildren, Jackson, Jett, Zayne, and Xander. The funeral is at 11 A.M. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Moog officiating. Burial follows in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday, September 1, 2023 at the church and continues after 9 A.M. Saturday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
