Joseph "Jodie" McMillen, 79 of Younger's Creek, Kentucky, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at Signature HealthCARE of Elizabethtown. He was a native of Hardin County. In his younger years, he enjoyed boating and hunting. He was an employee of Ford Louisville Assembly Plant for 42 years before retiring from that same facility. He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Alfred McMillen; and his mother, Mary Agnes McMillen. Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Margie McMillen; six children, Joseph (Barbara) Hardesty, Robin Brown, James McMillen, Alicia (Matt) Goniea, and stepsons, Tim (Laura) Willett and Phillip (Terri) Willett. In addition, he is survived by one brother, George (Jane) McMillen; and one sister, Martha (Bill) Smith. He was also a grandfather to his sons' and daughters' children. Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 4 p.m. for the family and 4 to 8 p.m. for friends, and then continues after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The funeral is Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Nichols officiating. Burial will follow the service at 12:30 p.m. at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association.
