Rose Eda Dixon, 82 of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at her home. She was a native of Hardin County and was a member of Valley Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Family was most important to Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Stillwell and Mary Rose Lawson; and one sister, Laura Faye Rogers. Survivors include her husband of 37 and a half years, Jim Dixon of Elizabethtown; one son, Larry (Connie) McCorkle of Campbellsville; two daughters, Melanie (James) Ray of Rineyville and Phyllis (David) Crabtree of Elizabethtown; one brother, Tommy (Betty) Stillwell of Florida; three grandchildren, Christina Ray, Sonya Holt, and Kenny Ray; two step-grandchildren, Meagan Walls and David Crabtree; and 4 great-grandchildren. The funeral is Friday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Pastor Scott Kerr officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
