James Vernon Reesor, 87 of Radcliff, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin surrounded by his family and friends. He was a native of Hardin County, a member of Cecilia Baptist Church and the American Legion Post #113 in Elizabethtown. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel with the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Vietnam war. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Clara Humphrey Reesor. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Noreida Lou Hay Reesor; three daughters, Lynne (Jim) Evans of Louisville, Vicki (Tommy) Forbis of Horse Cave and Lisa (Ron) Ortiz of Elizabethtown; one sister, Twyla (John) Hanna of Cecilia; nine grandchildren, Jaime (Greg) Dennison, Tim (Jen) Gaines, Andrew (Lauren) Houk, Lauren (Jeremy) Huffman, Michelle (Josh) Kerr, Ryan Ortiz, Kaylee (Clint) McRay, Jaime Evans and Kelly Evans and 16 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 11th at 11:30 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continue after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
