Amy Gayle Taylor-Geiger, 74, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. She was a native of New Jersey and enjoyed her job as a writer for the Kentucky Standard newspaper in Bardstown, where everyone admired her journalism. She was also the director of Hospice in Nelson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Evelyn Schwartz Perlmutter and a sister, Marlene Perlmutter. She is survived by her husband of 7 years, Robert "Bob" Geiger of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Samantha Taylor and son-in-law, Brandon Smith of Elizabethtown; one sister, Deb (Mitch) Soffer and their daughter, Stephanie Soffer, all of Florida; and several cousins. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
