Ms. Christine Gray, age 101, wife of the late Robert (Bobby) Gray, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Born on July 23, 1921, to Charles and Nannie Lee Marksbury in Washington County, Christine was a long-time employee and supervisor at E-Town Sportswear. She was a dedicated volunteer at Hardin Memorial Hospital, starting in 1984 and completed over 11,000 hours in service to the community. Christine was a faithful member of First Christian Church of Elizabethtown and delighted in attending many of their organized senior trips. Christine was preceded in death by her two sisters, Jewel and Martha; and two brothers, Jimmy and Dudley. Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Beverly Moore; two sons, Robert Gray, III, and Franklin Gray; and grandsons, Jonathan Gray and James Moore. Christine is survived by her daughter, Phyllis (Tim) Adkinson; daughter-in-law, Dee Gray, and son-in-law, James Moore. Christine is survived by 8 loving grandchildren: Jeff and Christopher; Christian; Corey and Eric; Scott, David and Heather. She is survived by 21 great grandchildren: Jeremiah, Griffin, Emma, and Avyn; Finn, Teaghan, Molly, and Cillian; Hunter, Hogan, and Hannah; Donald, Stephen, Bobbie, and Mika; Taylor, Jessica, Noah and Justice; Alexandra and Riley. Christine is also survived by three great-great grandchildren: Donald, Oakley, and Mylah. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren meant the world to her, and they all loved her dearly. Friends and family are invited to visitation at Brown Funeral Home, in Elizabethtown on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral services will follow in Willisburg, KY at Willisburg Cemetery with Bro.
