Michael Thomas Lynch, 71 of Big Clifty, passed on June 19, 2023 at U of L Hospital. Mike Lynch was born in Fort Benning, GA. In his childhood he lived in 8 states as part of an army family until he graduated in 1969 from Boiling Springs PA high school. Mike loved adventure and the open road, traveling and working in multiple jobs including truck driver and construction foreman. He was a gifted mechanic, could fix or build anything and enjoyed working in his shop on motorcycles and spending time in his garden. He was a creative soul. Mike was especially devoted to providing for his wife, Tomo, and daughter, Michells, future. He was a loving presence to his parents when their health declined and regarded as a patient, caring listener to his sisters, friends and those who worked for him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Carol Lynch. He is survived by his spouse, Tomoko; his beloved daughter, Michell; his step-mother, Katchie Lynch; sisters, Maureen Sturdevant, Theresa Kaser (Doug), Molly Grogan, and Susan Douglas (Jim); step-sisters, LeAnn Werner, Patti Stith (Greg), Karen Miller (Sandy Woods), Marylou Newcomb (Mike) and Terri Cecil (Matt); and step-brother, Andy Miller (Mollie). The funeral is 12 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. Friday and continues until the time of the service.
