Glenn Russell Wilson, 82 of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Hardin County, graduated from University of Kentucky, AGR Fraternity, retired from Bayer Corporation (agricultural division) & Southern States (Hardin, & LaRue Co.) and was a member of Glendale United Methodist Church. Glenn enjoyed turkey hunting, fishing, and carving ducks. He was an avid reader, enjoyed watching his daughter and granddaughter show horses, and was always proud of the way his yard looked. Most of all, he was proud of his daughter, Lynne and granddaughter, Ellie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Russell Wilson and Thelma Patrick Wilson; one brother, Bruce Wilson; and one sister, Barbara Wheeler. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce Miller Wilson of Elizabethtown; one daughter, Lynne (Doug) Wilson-Gault of Louisville; two sisters, Gail West and Libby Harris; one granddaughter, Ellie Gault; and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral is Monday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Bell and Pastor Ric Holladay officiating. Burial follows in Glendale Christian Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. and continue after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed online at brownfuneral.com.
