Reverend Harvey Raymond Craddock Sr., 96, died Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Baptist Health Hardin hospital in Elizabethtown, KY. He was a native of Hart County and a veteran. He was converted in a revival at Old Durst School House in 1936 and was baptized and joined Reams Chapel Methodist Church on September 10, 1937. He was then called to preach in September of 1968, and was preaching up until the day he died. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Opal Craddock; three sisters, Amaryllis Edwards, Ruby Richardson (Bill), Ruth Smith (Leslie); his wife of 64 years, Maggie Sue Craddock; and one daughter, Sharon Mays (Harry). He is survived by two sons, Harvey Craddock Jr. and Danny Craddock; two daughters, Linda Winters and Belinda Craddock; eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 1pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Reverend John Vaught officiating. Burial follows in Cub Run Cemetery.
