Ralph William Cox, 74 of Lexington, formerly of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Baptist Health Lexington. He was a native of Hardin County, served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was an active member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. He was the former Vice President of Bosch Corporation and former President of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Ralph was an avid UK fan, loved to golf and watch his grandkids play softball and baseball. He was a volunteer and active member at Southeast Christian Church, an active member of the Kiwanis Club of the Blue Grass and was a volunteer for Reedy Baseball in Frisco, TX. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Theresa Schenkel Cox. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Oliver Cox of Lexington; one son, Christopher Cox and Leiann and their children, Makayla and Caden Cox, all of Texas; his father, William Cox of Elizabethtown; one brother, Gary Cox (Candace) of Nevada and one sister, JoAnne Cox of Elizabethtown The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Severns Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Emory Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home and continue after 10 a.m. Saturday at Severns Valley Baptist Church.
