Ronald Eugene Wilson, 80 of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at his residence. He was a native of Cairo, IL, a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, and retired from both the Kentucky State Police and Hardin County Sheriffs Office. He loved the lake, fishing, boating, going to the casino, and country/western dancing. But most of all, he loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Mary Dorsett Wilson; two brothers, Edward Allen Wilson and Daniel Ray Wilson; and his in-laws, William and Jessie Qualls. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra Sue Qualls Wilson; a daughter, Lea Ann (Adam) Kinney; two grandsons, Trevor (Larra) Deneen and Jackson Kinney; two great-grandchildren, Eli and Cooper Deneen; and his guardian, Zeus. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to Kentucky Sheriffs Boys Ranch or Trooper Island Kids Camp.
