Evelyn Ann Allen, 64 of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at her home. She was a native of Hardin County and was a sales assistant at Kroger. She enjoyed her poker nights, playing bingo, and doing puzzles. Evelyn liked decorating her yard and filling them with flowers. She loved to entertain her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Allen; her parents, John and Dorothy Cates; and a brother, George Cates. Survivors include her partner of 40+ years, Roy Arvie of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Aletha Allen of Elizabethtown and Moria Torrez of California; one brother, John Cates; two sisters, Katherine (Terence) Hill and Dorothy Taylor; four grandchildren, Deonte Gough, Trevin Gough, Alexis Torrez, and Emmanuel Torrez; her fashionista, ZeZe Bradley; her brother in-laws, Cecil (Sharon) Perry and Robert Perry; and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral is Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
