Janice Cornett Vannatter, 69 of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was a native of Louisville and a member of Central Avenue Baptist Church. She loved to read and do word puzzles, was a devout Christian, great mom and grandmother who loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Vannatter and her parents, Minnie Ruth and Arlie H. Cornett. Survivors include her two daughters, Frances Carol Newport (Michael) and Cora Beth Mink (Rhonda) all of Elizabethtown; three sisters, Linda Dillingham, Maxine Morgan (Darrell) and Marlena Brown (Ronald) all of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, Austin Newport, William Spies, Victoria Grimes and Lisa Nicole; two great grandchildren, Lucas and Alex and a special friend, Christopher Johnson of Elizabethtown. The funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Wicker officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
