Charles MacArthur Bewley, 80 of Rineyville, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at his residence. He was a native of Hardin County and was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church. After 34 years, he retired from Gates Rubber and also worked at Ace Hardware. He was preceded in death by his parents, McHenry Bewley and Lizzie Mae Yates; his wife, Barbara Ann Bradshaw Bewley; a son, Mitchell Bewley; two sisters, Bertha and Betty; and a granddaughter, Addy Rhia Deaton. He is survived by two sons, Steven T. (Cindy) Bewley and Christopher L. (Michele) Bewley; his daughter, Robin (Mark) Deaton; six sisters, Mary Ann Kephart, Maxine Daugherty, Margaret Gilbreth, Ruth Ellen Carter, Nina Sue Kaelin, and Nancy Yates; and three grandchildren, Megan, Adam, and Abigail. The funeral is Sunday at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Rev. Bobby Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery.
