Joyce Ann Kays, 81, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Lincoln Hills Health Center in New Albany, IN. She was a very strong and independent woman. Joyce was loving and loyal to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Kays; one son, Michael David Thomas; one brother, David Lewis Brown; and her parents, Albert and Beulah Brown. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Dion) DeStephanis of Floyds Knob, IN and two grandchildren, Bailey and Chess Thomas. The funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday and continue until the time of service.
