Edward D. Campbell

Edward D. Campbell, 96 of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021. He was born in Vancouver, Canada, and retired from the U.S. Army after 23 years. He served during WWII, was a P.O.W., 4 + months in Stalag III, served three tours in Germany and one in Korea after the war. He was a member of Lakeside Worship Center where he was a Deacon, Elder, Board Member and he cleaned the church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lahoma Bias Campbell; his parents, Thomas Campbell and Margaret Arnold and his step father, Victor Arnold. He is survived by two childen, Julie (Phillip) Bewley and Gary (Beverly) Campbell all of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, Erik (Brooke) Campbell, Renee (Eric) Archuleta, Paige (Austin) Wethington and Payton (Lane Clark) Bewley and five great grandchildren, Blythe, Audrey, Daniel, Avery and Hadley. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lakeside Worship Center with Rev's. Tim Nickels and Darwin Bostwick officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home and continue after 10 a.m. at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Contributions to Hosparus.
