Command Sergeant Major (Ret) Roland Thibeault, 76, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and served his country proudly for 30 years, He was a recipient of Legion of Merit. Roland was a lifetime member of VFW, DAV, and the American Legion. He was also a Knights of Columbus member in Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo J. Thibeault and Leona Dufour; one brother, Leon Thibeault; and one sister, Jeannette Bell. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Maria Nicolaidis of Elizabethtown; one son Patrick (Connie) Thibeault of Cedar Lake, IN; two daughters, Catherine (Nicola) Zappone of Sinking Spring, PA and Christina (fiance Tim Biery) Ballard of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Paul Thibeault and Romeo Thibeault both of FL; one sister, Marie Thibeault of ME; and ten grandchildren, Trinity, Michael, Nicholas, Juliana, Aaron, Matthew, Sofia, Luke, Isabella, and Gianina. The funeral will be at 12 noon, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery.
