Karen Janie Bennett, 67 of Louisville, died Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Norton Healthcare. Janie grew up and raised her family in Elizabethtown, KY; where she later retired from Merle Norman. She graduated from Georgetown College where she earned a bachelor's in biology, and was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Janie was an avid reader, trivia savant, and loved spending time with her Doodlebugs. She was preceded in death by her parents James and Lelia Holbrook Banks and her cat Costello. She is survived by two daughters, Becky (Jason) Bennett Murdock and Katie (Justin Davis) Bennett all of Louisville; one brother Jim (Theresa) Banks of Elizabethtown; two grandchildren, Pixie and Luca; her cat, Abbott. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 10, 2021 with a Memorial Service following at 7 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Joe Bennett officiating.
