Daniel Edward Bauer passed away on January 18, 2021 at his residence in Louisville, KY. Dan was born on December 4, 1958 in Hillside, NJ and at age eight moved with his family to Elizabethtown, KY. Dan moved to Chapel House in Louisville, KY in 1985 and resided there until his death. He was able to enjoy the activities provided because of easy accessibility and welcoming atmosphere. Many of the residents commented on his outgoing personality, love of reading and writing, and assisting in various performances as well as religious services. Dan also volunteered at Jewish Hospital and received the Bell Award for his reliable and dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Bauer, and an infant brother, Michael Albert Bauer. He is survived by two older brothers, George (Rene) Bauer of Elizabethtown and Rudy (Andi) Bauer of Sequim, WA; four nephews , George, Daryl, Gavin, and Chris and a niece, Kimberly, as well as many grand nieces and nephews. There will be a private service for his burial at St. James Cemetery in Elizabethtown, KY.
