Rickey Louis Green

Rickey Louis Green 67, of Elizabethtown died Friday, January 11, 2019 at Leesburg Regional Medical Hospital Center in Leesburg, Florida. Rick was active member of Severns Valley Baptist Church, where he proudly served as eighth grade Sunday school teacher for several years. He also served in many ministries, usher, greeter, nursery volunteer, Living Christmas Tree and traveling on many Family Mission Trips. He served wherever he was needed. He was proud to be ordained as a Deacon in 2011and loved being part of the Forever Family in the Celebrate Recovery program where Rick shared his Testimony proudly. He also served at Eagles Nest Baptist Church in Florida, where he was a member of the choir, and was an Usher and greeter. Rick was a member of the Elizabethtown Emmaus Community where he went on walk 55 and he served on many Prison Ministries. He was a painter by trade and would say he was a jack of all trades and master of none. Rick and his wife Vickie served as caregivers for many years and he was known for his infectious smile, joyful spirit and teaching many children to fish. His life's goal was to introduce people to his Jesus. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman but would want to be remembered as a "Fisher of Men."<>< He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and June Wyatt Green; a brother, Jimmy Green and a sister, Rebecca Harmon. Rick was married to his high school sweetheart of 48 years, Vickie Lynn (Berry) Green they have two children Rickey Louis Green Jr. (Christina) and Toni Lynn Tuttle-Mata.(Albert); 11 grandchildren: Danielle Thomas (Jason), Matthew and Allison Tuttle, Zak and Jamie Green, Paul, Autumn, Destiny ,Hailey, Patrick and Nick and one great granddaughter, Sophia Grace Thomas. Rick was the oldest of eight children. Surviving are Jr, Sylvia, Eddie, Linda and Missy; many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and his special friends, Joan and Phil Bova of Leesburg, FL and Mary Young of Etown. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Severns Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Langley officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home and continue after 9 a.m. Friday at the Church.
