Joseph Darryl Figg, 74 of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Louisville. He was a native of Hardin County, graduated in the first graduating class at North Hardin High School and served in the U. S. Air Force during Vietnam. He was a member and Deacon at Elizabethtown Baptist Church and retired from Kroger after 47 years of employment. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Gracie Figg and two brothers, Gene and Arnold Figg. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nancy Susan Munford Figg; a son, Jason Thomas Figg (Nickloa) of Elizabethtown; one brother, Donald Richard Figg (Mary Ann) of Rineyville; several nieces and nephews and his special buddy Jr. Bailey. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Elizabethtown Baptist Church with Dr. Glenn Chasteen officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
