Bendal Stephens, 75, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, October 28, 2018 at his home. He was a native of Green County, served in the Army Reserve, retired from GE, and was a member of NRA. He loved farming, his family, and his greenhouse. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Blane and Mazetta Martin Stephens. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Stephens; two sons, Michael (Sammantha) Stephens of Louisville and William "Billy" Stephens of Elizabethtown; daughter, Melissa Stephens of Elizabethtown; brother, Morris Stephens of Las Vegas; sister, Elwanda Stephens of Louisville; six grandchildren, Courtney Mudd, Savannah Hughes, Benjamin Stephens, Isabella Stephens, Makenna Stephens, and Alyviah Handley; and two great grandchildren, Jennah and Avah. The funeral is at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home with Leroy Routte officiating. Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
