Sharon Kay Blankenship, 59 of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Hardin County and was a Paramedic for Hardin County EMS, retiring in 2006 after 20 years of dedicated services to the residents of Hardin County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles E. and Louise Welch and a brother, Steven C. Welch. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Michael G. Blankenship; two step sons, Roger Blankenship of White Mills and Jesse Blankenship of Hodgenville; two brothers, Michael (Chiquita) Welch of Elizabethtown and David Welch of Lexington; and two grandchildren, Emily and Michael Blankenship. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
